It’s my last year, I can’t believe it! It seems like only yesterday that I entered the university, with many dreams and illusions and with a great wish to become a teacher. 

I am very excited about this semester, we went back to face-to-face classes and that makes me very happy because it was two long years of online classes. I came back to see my friends, my professors and to be able to sit down and see each other face to face. 

My vacations were not very fun, I worked and I dedicated my time to collecting money because in my winter vacation I will make the trip of my life, I will finally know England and Holland, so this semester I will give everything to be able to pass my classes and go on vacation very happy. I made just a small weekend trip to Bahia Inglesa in the north of Chile.

Last year I did my first practice in a school, it was very difficult and it was a big challenge because it was the first time I was in front of a group of students, but I did it, I got very good grades and I was very happy and more and more in love with my career.

I hope this year will be very good, together with my friends we will begin to write our thesis and the fact that we are together is something that excites me and makes me very happy, three years ago the four of us entered to the career and together we will manage to finish it. 

This was my fifth semester and I can’t believe it yet, it’s so amazing how fast the time passed and that I’m already too close to the goal, next year I can be receiving my degree and finally becoming a teacher!

This semester was good and bad, I started with health problems and I had to have an operation for a hernia in my spine, I had a long recovery but I made it and here I am once again, ready to continue with my classes.

This semester I also started my internship, at the beginning I was scared to death, it was something very new to me and I was afraid that the children would not like me. I had to teach first grade, I was surprised when they told me that because they are very small and I had no experience with children, but I must say that I fell in love with teaching children, I have already done several classes with them and I love that they participate, that they like my activities and especially when they call me “Miss Francisca”.

It was an intense semester in college, I struggled a lot with “English Language”, I studied a lot but I didn’t manage to see results that I liked or that caused me satisfaction. I managed to get my first 7 in writing and raise my grades in speaking, so in that sense, I am happy.
In the other subjects, I had no major complications, I managed to get good grades in almost all of them, so I feel very happy. I’m finishing “North American Culture”, “Applied Linguistics” and “English Methodology” and that’s the end of my semester, although I think I’ll have to take the English exam :(.

That was my first semester 2021, I hope the next one will be much better and I can continue learning and filling myself with wisdom. I feel very happy with my career and I am proud of myself and how close I am to the end of it.

Personal Comment

Technology has become a very important part of people’s lives, today we can see it everywhere. We can see it in our daily tasks and in our daily lives.
Sometimes technology goes beyond people’s limits, nowadays we see how people do not let go of their cell phones or computers, as for every activity they need a technological element. Technology is useful for many things but sometimes it is not so necessary.
Nowadays technology is very useful for medicine, it is useful for people who cook and even for some people to live.
Although technology is a very controversial topic, we must assume that it is very useful, but we must also learn to live without it, in order to become independent beings and not depend on a machine.
